VIRGINIA AUTO DEALER www.vada.com 6 What is your professional background? I have a retail automotive back- ground, working over 15 years in both Toyota and Nissan dealer- ships. I was a second generation car dealer, until recently selling our family’s Toyota dealership in 2018. What do you like most about your job? I have loved the transition from retail to my position as a VADA field rep. It has allowed me to stay connected to the dealership world that I am so passionate about. One of the best things about the field reps position is the problem solving aspect. I love being able to listen to a dealer’s challenges and using VADA resources to find a solution. You meet with a lot of VADA’s dealers on a daily basis. What are some of the life lessons that you have learned by working with the dealers? Our Virginia dealers are a smart and insightful bunch! Two common themes that I see are their contributions to their communities and their care for their employees. Our dealers know that if they take care of their employees, that their employees will take care of their customers. How do you define success? As a VADA field rep, my definition of success is knowing that what I am doing is helping our dealers and their businesses to be stronger and more profitable. What’s the one benefit of VADA membership that you wish more dealers would use? VADA offers amazing training and educational opportunities throughout the year.
